Friends of Foxton School

The Friends of Foxton School are an open and friendly group of parents and teachers, extended family and members of the local community working towards a common goal: supporting the education of the children at Foxton Primary School and strengthening the school community.

Now that your child has started at school, you’re automatically a member of Friends but how involved you choose to become is up to you. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be involved in running the Friends, you might want to consider joining the committee. If you have ideas to share or want to know more about the group, then please come along to our next meeting.

Our main fundraisers this past year have been a Quiz, Christmas cards designed by the children, an online Christmas raffle, and an Easter Egg decorating competition.

When you support us, you’re not just baking a cake, making a donation or giving up your time to volunteer. You’re buying your child playground equipment to climb on at break time, sending them on outings to places they’ve never been, building a community and helping to make your child’s school even more brilliant.

In the past year, the Friends have contributed to the Year 6’s leaving hoodies, new Chromebooks to support children without access to home learning technology, new outdoor play and gym equipment, art equipment and resources, and new books to help with learning to read.

The Friends would very much welcome you to come along to one of our meetings to find out more!
