Healthy School
Foxton Primary School Healthy School Statement
At Foxton School we help children to become confident and motivated individuals so that they develop the skills and understanding to make important life and health choices. Our school approach to physical and emotional wellbeing focusses on three core themes:
- Healthy Eating
- Physical Activity
- Emotional Health and Wellbeing
A healthy school successfully inspires pupils to be their best and continually build on their achievements. We are committed to guiding, encouraging and supporting our children to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle.
We provide high quality Physical Education to promote physical activity as part of a lifelong healthy lifestyle. We actively encourage our pupils to take part in competitions and events organised by Cambridge Schools Sports Partnership, covering a wide range of different sports for children of all ages and abilities.
We encourage our pupils to grow as kind and respectful people who are confident and resilient, and both physically and mentally healthy. We do this by recognising and celebrating differences and treating everyone equally, with the same respect and care with which we would wish to be treated ourselves.
