Foxton Primary is situated in the physical and social heart of Foxton, next door to the village hall, with the community’s recreation ground and church just a few minutes away. We are fortunate to have a lovely and well designed building to house us, and the people who gather inside it create a happy and purposeful environment for our learning.
We’re also very lucky to have plenty of outdoor space for our pupils to make good use of. There’s a large playground, with a special play area for the younger children, plus a large grassy area complete with a wooden trim-trail and an ‘outdoor classroom’. There is also a garden of raised beds, which is used by all the children to grow vegetables and flowers, and a separate playing field with a football pitch.
We provide a curriculum that acknowledges the importance of the basic skills, but endeavours to teach those basic skills in an exciting way, as well as finding time to focus on more creative and artistic skills, and making sure we have some fun with it.
Foxton is a small school, the sort of place where everyone knows who you are and what your name is, and it’s this that allows us to very effectively nurture a very welcoming and caring atmosphere; it comes very naturally to everyone to take an interest in each others’ welfare.
Please don’t hesitate to make direct contact with the school if there’s anything you need to ask. Our office staff will give you a warm welcome, and offer a wealth of information!
